The main challenge was translating complex 2D motion graphics from After Effects into Unreal Engine’s real-time environment while maintaining the same visual fidelity and animation timing.
Rebuilding 2D motion graphics designed in After Effects within Unreal Engine required rethinking each animation using UMG tools and Blueprints. Matching easing curves, blend modes, and timing from a 2D compositor inside a 3D, real-time engine was particularly challenging
This project was a personal exploration into blending product-accurate 3D data with creative direction, using Unreal Engine and AI-assisted workflows to push realism and flexibility. The result is a series of visuals that capture the look and feel of a full campaign, produced entirely as a self-initiated study.
For us at Polygon CGI, projects like this are an opportunity to refine techniques, experiment with new tools, and keep pushing what’s possible in real-time and AI-driven production.
Next projects.
